Kenya is without a doubt a hotbed of different talents, that goes without much debate.

While we have been seeing the entrance of many new creatives, the country has also been losing some of its best talents to deaths caused by various means.

We highlights seven of the best or should we say great Kenyan celebrities who left us through accidents but left footprints that will always remain engraved in our hearts.

Below is the list;

1. E-sir (Artiste)

Were he alive today, Issa Mmari would have been the current Diamond Platnumz as far as musical prowess is concerned.

He was the best rapper of his time and had shown much promise in the future with many betting he would go international.

However, the star perished in a road accident in 2003 while travelling back to Nairobi from a show in Nakuru.

Nameless was also in the car E-sir was in but survived the accident.

2. Bishop Ben Bahati (Man of God and musician)

Eldoret's Global Field Evangelism head Ben Bahati was among the most popular pastors and gospel musicians commanding masses.

He was at the prime of his careers both in music and evangelism when he went to be with his maker in 2014.

The man of God died following a road accident around Burnt Forest area.

He was airlifted to Nairobi for specialised medical treatment but did not make it.

 Bishop Bahati was popular among all groups; both young and old.

3. Derrick Amunga (Thespian)

Amunga, popularly known as Master Sugu, was a fans' favourite during his times on classic Swahili soap, Tausi.

He was also a big wig in the popular Tahidi High, being among the first casts.

The decorated thespian, however, passed on in 2014 after he was run over by a car.

His body was found at the Kenyatta National Hospital mortuary by friends and family after a week's search.

4. Ayeiya (Comedian)

Churchill comedian Ayeiya's death was so sudden and hit Kenyans the hardest as he was at the prime of his comedy career.

He died in 2017 following a road accident near Catholic University.

5. John De Mathew (Gikuyu Benga musician)

De Mathew was one of the most popular Gikuyu benga musicians who endeared himself to his Kenyan audience.

The musician was a people's darling until his demise in 2019.

The legendary musician died after being involved in a tragic road accident at Blue Post hotel along Thika Super Highway on the evening of Sunday, August 18.

The musician's car rammed into a lorry on his way from a fundraiser in support of a fellow musician.

He was, however, pronounced dead shortly after being rushed to Thika Nursing Home for treatment.

A police report added the Njata Yakwa singer was driving a Nissan Navara Double Cab vehicle during the accident.

De Mathew's pick up rammed into a stationary car.

6. Nana Gichuru (Actress)

The famous Kenyan actress died in 2015 in a grisly car accident in Utawala.

Nana rammed into a parked lorry and was pronounced dead on the spot.

Nana's sudden demise shook many Kenyans.

7. Nicholas Bett (Athlete)

Bett met his demise in the early morning of August 8, 2018.

The 400 metre world champion died in a road accident near the town of Lessos, in Nandi county.

The athlete had just arrived from the 2018 African Championships in Athletics in Nigeria about two days earlier and was driving along the Kapsabet-Eldoret road on his way back to Nairobi when he got involved in the accident that claimed his life.
