Mohamed Ali has since his election as Nyali MP been a constant critic to Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho always accusing him of being indeterminate in delivering on development projects.

The rivalry can be pointed to the political animosity between them and the different stances they hold, Joho’s ardents feeling the Nyali MP is after succeeding Joho as the governor and thus would choose to fight him pointlessly.

There have however been claims that Joho could be looking forward to ditch ODM, his next stop being at the DP Ruto’s camp where Mohamed Ali is a staunch fanatic. A letter purportedly written by Joho has been shared widely showing the governor who is also the party’s deputy leader resigning.

After the letter circulating, rumors started cooking that Joho and Jichopevu could be in for a truce, that being a win for Ruto as he seeks to win support from the coastal region.

The ‘agreement’ between the two is however said to have been struck after Joho spoiled Jichopevu with Kes 100,000, that becoming an arsenal to silence the vocal MP.

“Jicho Pevu in the mix as Joho silence him with 100m kickback. Jicho Pevu’s company is set to supply mixed concrete to the Buxton project. Part of the deal will also see him not to vie as the Nyali MP as Joho looks to vie therein after the end of his two terms as Mombasa governor,” an online publication partly reads.

The two have now come out to deny the claims terming them as fake, and ill-founded, Mohamed Ali emphasizing no one can afford to silence him.

“Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots. Listening to VIJANA TUACHE MIHADARATI by Stevo Simple Boy,” Nyali MP, Mohamed Ali.

Joho on his part denies having quit ODM, confirming he is still rooted in the party.
